Beaver Compare License Agreement
This agreement is between you and Mindigest, the maker of Beaver Compare. It applies when you install or use Beaver Compare. Please note the clauses in bold: they limit our liability.
1. Free to use
- You may install and use Beaver Compare free of charge on the Macs you use, at home or at work.
- Beaver Compare itself, including its code, design and name, stays ours. It includes open-source components that remain under their own licenses.
2. What you may not do
- Sell Beaver Compare, rent it out or charge for it.
- Distribute modified copies of Beaver Compare.
- Remove its copyright or license notices.
3. Updates and support
We release updates from time to time and may change or stop Beaver Compare. Beaver Compare checks for updates automatically unless you turn this off in Settings, and installs nothing without your OK. We answer questions at support@mindigest.com, but we do not promise support for a free app.
4. No warranty, limited liability
Beaver Compare is free and provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. Syncing folders, copying changes and saving merges change files on your disk: keep backups of what matters. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using Beaver Compare. Nothing in this agreement limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, such as for intent or gross negligence.
5. Ending this agreement
You can end this agreement at any time by deleting Beaver Compare. If you break it, it ends, and you must stop using Beaver Compare.
6. Changes and language
When this agreement changes, we update it here and change the date at the top. It is also available in Chinese; if the two differ, the Chinese version prevails.
